Audra Noble Art

You are here

I am an abstract artist using cutting-edge technology with traditional painting techniques. I have been photographing for many years and now use acrylic paint and many other media to explore new ways of expression. Abstract art is the language I use to communicate, whether grayscale photographs or triads of colour in paintings. I use various media to create layers that give you access to other points of view.

I have a heightened sensitivity to the emotions of others. I want my art to show how I share these with you. My work is energetic, exuberant, and passionate. That Zen place is in me when I make art. I absolutely enjoy the challenge of using colour and composition to establish meaning. It’s like dancing with tools.

I have dubbed both my photographs and paintings as “landscapes with meaning.” Trees and flowers present endless abstract possibilities. If a reference is used, it is usually a starting point that becomes more intuitive and more abstract. I feel in my gut what are the possibilities. I learn something new every day.

My tools of choice for the present are rollers and palette knives: rollers spread paint easily, geometrically or organically depending on how I use them. Palette knives make limitless lines, shapes and textures. The computer has been the major tool of choice for more than 20 years. It is so much a part of life and my art that I forget how important it is. I use it for every step of my artwork.

My studio/gallery is an integrated space

where my art is on display and constantly

changing. I invite you to drop me an email

when you want to come over and have a

coffee with me. You will be able to see my

printers with the paint spots.
